They say that experience is the best teacher but, when it comes to the realm of intimacy, there’s no harm in a little pre-education. Sex is a deeply personal journey, one that often carries a multi…
Editor’s Picks: Skincare Edition
Hey Peach and Flora Community!
I’m so happy to be bringing you our very first edition of Editor’s Picks where, once every quarter, I’ll be sharing some items that I’m loving and that I think some of you might also love to check out!
Mother’s Day is coming up this weekend and I’ve been racking my brain trying to find some great items that we could give one of you in our giveaway. It was actually stressing me out last week because I couldn’t make a decision on anything…and then it hit me: why don’t we give away some skincare items that I actually use and love?!
When I was pregnant last year, my face broke out in some type of rash/acne that many pregnant women often experience. It really bothered me because I had heard some pregnant women had glowing skin and here I was with bumps all over my face. I decided to switch up my skincare routine and my face completely cleared up. My new skincare routine worked so well for me that I use it to this day.
Before I share my skincare routine, I want to let you know that our Mother’s Day Giveaway is now live so be sure to head to our Instagram Page to find out how to enter for a chance to win these amazing skincare products!
I’d also like to point out that my skin type is combination/oily and the products that are listed below are what worked for me. If you have another skin type (or maybe even the same skin type), I can’t fully guarantee that my skincare routine will give you the same results.
Without further ado, here is my skincare routine:
Step 1
I begin by using the St. Ives Acne Control Apricot Scrub. A little of this product goes a long way so I put a small amount on my finger, add some water and then apply it to my face. I then rinse it off with water and make sure that all the product is completely removed. Although this is an exfoliating scrub, I find that it doesn’t dry out my face like other scrubs do.
Step 2
After exfoliating, I use the Neutrogena HydroBoost Hydrating Cleansing Gel. This product feels so smooth and silky and leaves my skin feeling great. I put about 2 pumps in my hand before mixing it with water and cleansing my face.
Step 3
After my face has been cleansed, I pat it dry with a clean towel and then apply the Bioderma Sébium Purifying Cleansing Micellar Water using a cotton pad and then I let my face air dry. I am a strong advocate of this product because I believe that it brings your skincare routine to another level. I notice a huge difference when I use micellar water regularly.
Step 4
After the micellar water has air dried and my face is completely dry, I apply my moisturizer. Depending on the time of the day, I use 2 different products – both from the Neutrogena Hydro Boost line.
In the morning, I apply the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Gel Cream. This cream is so lightweight and feels so hydrating and soft on my skin. At night, I apply the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Night Pressed Serum. This product is much thicker than the gel cream that I use during the day, and it helps to give your skin some moisture as you sleep.
And that’s the end of my skincare routine! If you end up trying out any of these products – or if you already use some of them – then I’d love to hear from you! Send us a DM on Instagram or email us at [email protected].
Wishing all of you an amazing Mother’s Day!
